Branding, web design and marketing for a leading provider of alternative education provision

– Academy 21 provide temporary alternative provision of education for those who cannot currently attend school. Traditionally, local education authorities need to have a building and a teacher in place, ready to provide alternative means of education for those who have dropped out. In some cases, councils are spending hundreds of pounds a day just to provide temporary education for a single child.

Academy 21 makes it easy for councils to provide alternative education through online classrooms with real teachers, underpinned by intelligent reporting tools. Having worked with InterHigh for many years, we were asked to support with marketing Academy 21 following its acquisition.

A website that appeals to students, LEAs and teachers

Alternative provision can be a tricky subject to explore. In some cases, a pupil may be desperately looking for help. In others a teacher or member of a local education authority may be looking for the best way to support their students.

The website needed to cover all of the technical and functional information that you may need when looking for alternative provision, whilst appealing to the end user, students. A corporate look was carefully blended with custom illustrations to create the perfect balance. The website has proven successful, with a notable increase in web traffic and enquiries.

Digital marketing and campaigns to forge new partnerships

Unlike many businesses, Academy 21’s end user cannot directly request services. Instead, decisions are made by local education authorities. Our task was to ensure all marketing activities led to new partnerships with LEAs, whilst arming students, parents and teachers with the information they need to recommend A21. Through a combination of search engine optimisation and paid advertising campaigns we have helped A21 form new partnerships leading to significant increases in student numbers year on year.
