WooCommerce website design and ongoing marketing for leading office furniture manufacturer

– Bisley has been designing and crafting innovative office space solutions for over 80 years. While many have heard of Bisley, or perhaps vaguely recall seeing the logo on a cabinet in the boss’ office, fewer know that Bisley has won awards for its designs, including the coveted Design Guild Mark.

We wanted to elevate the brand perception by using beautiful design, rich content and organising products into multiple layered categories, providing functional, inspirational pathways for users. Our redesign also makes the product the hero, enabling the customer to see each piece as a standalone piece of ‘office art’, or as part of a coveted collection.

From pitch to perfection

Historically, Bisley has relied on the successful B2B side of the business, but they were keen to expand their horizons into the B2C market. They approached us with a detailed brief outlining their vision for the shop and gave examples of leading online retailers as a benchmark.

On top of this, a connection to their custom purpose-built ERP system was needed to ensure their website communicated with the system used by their internal teams.

Finding the perfect platform

We presented various platforms options, including such as Magento, Opencart and WooCommerce. The decision was made unanimously that WooCommerce was the perfect fit, giving us full control of the design and functionality of the website.

The new website boasts an elegant, modern design. It features a custom autocomplete search, a content-manageable mega menu and intelligent cross-sells and upsells. Colour swatches on category pages make it quick and easy to get a feel for the options available and a product filter allows users to refine results by usage, dimensions, or colour. The result is a tailored and seamless user experience that will delight visitors and drive sales.

A flawless blend of style and function

The beautiful, bold and playful colour options on Bisley products are central to their brand’s success. Because colour is key, creating an emotional connection with the customer as they pick and mix their new office suite, we created a feature that swaps out all related product colours to match their current selection.

The idea behind the feature is to help users find exactly what they are looking for, without having to constantly click back and forth. Like having a Bisley interior design personal shopper by your side, helping you pick out the perfect pieces for your new work adventure.

Marketing and promotions

With product launches and regular promotional campaigns, Bisley also needed an intuitive, marketing-savvy team to manage site-wide promotions. Our custom-built marketing and promotion tool allows easy management of timed and scheduled campaigns. Dedicated spaces across the website automatically appear when a campaign is active to display graphics and campaign messages on the home, category and product pages.
