Over the years, the community in South Wales had become accustomed to Pronto’s straight-talking, no-nonsense identity. Their brand positioning was firmly established as a competitively priced, no hidden cost, van and motorhome rental with insurance and recovery all included.
There are two sides to Pronto’s business model, one being van hire and the other being motorhome hire. These are two very different sectors which needed encompassing under one unified brand system. In order to appeal to both the commercial and leisure sector, we created a simple icon with hints of aspiration and adventure. The logo is simple so it can be displayed small on a motorhome and blown up to stretch over the full height of a commercial vehicle. This dual identity is key to Pronto’s success as a brand.

Van wraps for fleet
As part of the branding, we looked at how the brand could work on a variety of vehicle types across their commercial hire fleet. The branding had to work for two very different markets: commercial van hire and homehome hire. The careful consideration really paid off, the brand is dynamic, diverse and scalable.
To complete the work, we produced simple, clean flyers for the commercial van hire market. This included van illustrations to show the range options.
Website online booking system
Right at the start of the rebrand we looked for how we were going to drive new business to Pronto. The website needed to make it easy for people to make enquiries for motorhomes to hire. The custom online booking system we developed helped users identify a vehicle, set a date within in preset date periods, and place their enquiry. The system greatly reduced the admin time for Pronto, in processing new enquiries.
A clever digital marketing strategy
We developed our digital marketing strategy around the idea that people are not looking to hire motorhomes but rather create holiday experiences. The people who hire these motorhomes, are generally those looking for adventures, where they can shape their own holiday. To align Pronto to this target market, we developed route journey suggestions through Wales, and encouraged social media interaction to allow their experiences to be shared. We also looked to target major events and create promotions for the quieter hire periods.
